Q: What proof do you have that your concept will work?
A: The concept is a combination of enhanced, private initiative of Ghana Builders Brigade of the 60s in it production, and Marketing plans of Cocoaboard and with innovative financing options.

 

Q:       How sure are you that the seeding capital of $150 million can be mobilized for the initial cost of the project?
A:       Capital has never been a problem for a good project. It is the combination of unsure management, lack of sustainability, weak implementation plan, compromised monitoring & evaluation, improper risk analysis and inadequate margin of profit.


Q:        What control measures do you have in place for the events of natural disasters such as excessive rain, floods, and very dry seasons?
A:       Production and marketing Insurances are mandatory for any c-Fund Loans


Q:       How does the program offers the small land holder of Africa an increase Income.
A:       By the power of volume and size effect on profit accumulation. The real alternative is, if the small land holders are moved from their land by commercial farming enterprises. Who are currently knocking at their doors for access for land.


Q:        How is MAO approaches different from say FAO or the Ministry of Agriculture?
A:        It is a private enterprise approach and a hand-on in agriculture.

 

Q:        How is MAO different from Commercial Agriculture?
A:        Commercial Agriculture does not take into consideration the plight of the small scale farmers. The land owners and farmer a thrown into the urban to fend for themselves. In the MAO approach, the land owner and the farmer are integral part of the approach.

 

Q:       Extension Services seem to be a Key to the operation. How many Extension graduates are available in Africa?
A:       By the SAA recommendations more Extension professionals are been trained and we will adopt the McDonald University approach and on the job training


Q:         Cocoaboard has been accused as a monopsony (an imperfect competition) organization. Why do you repeat their methodology?
A:        The new privatization concepts are similar, the legal mandate as the only sole buyer of cocoa in Ghana is changing, and freedom to export cocoa is also changing

Q:         HMO’s are having problems particularly in America. Why do you repeat the methodologies?
A:        HMO’s are thriving in other countries such as Health Facility in France, PRIMA model in Canada and elsewhere.
